Peace of mind testing

There are two ways in which we can offer peace of mind testing, DNA to confirm Paternity and to test for Drug and Alcohol use.

DNA

Half of each person’s DNA comes from their mother and the other half from their father. By comparing DNA from the mother, child and alleged father, it is possible to establish whether an alleged father is the father of a child with a probability of paternity routinely in excess of 99.99%. Many parents, children and families find peace of mind from undertaking a DNA test for paternity.

We offer a professional, reliable and confidential Paternity DNA testing service that could put your mind at ease…. once and for all!

We are trusted by our many clients to test DNA for Immigration, Legal and Peace of Mind purposes.  Using our in-house innovative methods and technologies we keep our costs competitive  to ensure our Clients have access to affordable and reliable testing for every reason.

Our experienced Client Services team fully understand how daunting DNA testing can be and are ready to answer your questions and even our PhD qualified Scientists are on hand to discuss results.

DNA Paternity Testing from Home

Peace of Mind tests are not suitable for legal purposes, please call us if you require a legal Paternity DNA test. We have a wide network of sample technicians to collect your samples if needed.

Easy to use, pain free and safe: Our home paternity testing kit is designed to be used in the comfort of your own home. All participants sample themselves and return the swabs to the laboratory for testing.

Your detailed scientific report will be returned to you by email the very Next Working Day to when samples are received* (Free 1st Class sample kit postage included)

Accuracy of results in excess of 99.99%.  A DNA test is the most accurate way to determine paternity. It is extremely rare that your results will be inconclusive. However, in the case of motherless testing, there is a 1 in 30 chance of inconclusive results. In this unlikely event we can discuss the option of further tests to achieve a conclusive result.

Mother’s sample is tested at no extra cost. Although samples from the putative father and the child are always required, it is not always necessary for the mother to provide a sample in order to obtain a meaningful result. At Anglia DNA we still like to test Mother if possible and do so at no extra cost. We allow this to ensure everyone participating in DNA testing is aware and are fully consenting.

Consent

As with other biological sample procedures, consent is required before a sample of blood, saliva or hair is taken for analysis. Under the Human Tissue Act 2004 consent is also required (in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) for the use and storage of a sample to obtain scientific or medical information about an individual which relates to another person; this includes paternity testing. Please see www.bma.org Paternity testing for more information.

Each participant over the age of 16 years will need to consent for their DNA to be tested and will need to support this with a suitable copy of identification. For children under the age of 16, we will need signed consent for the test to take place from the mother, or person with parental responsibility for the child.

As a leading and reputable UK DNA testing provider, even if mother is not taking part in the testing, we will  still require the biological mother with parental responsibility to sign and consent for the tested children’s samples to be taken, analysed and stored as per our Code of Practice.

We will simply not accept or analyse any samples  received without the written consent and agreed documentation of the participating party and/or the person legally responsible for the child.

*All samples must be received by 10am for results to be emailed the next day from 3pm

Drug and Alcohol

As there are many different tests for drugs and alcohol as well as prices, we would advise speaking to one of our experts who can help you choose the best analysis for you. Call us on 01603 358 161 or email office@angliadna.co.uk and one of our client managers will take you through your options.

The link above will take you to an online order form but you can download a paper form from here and return to us via email using this address: office@angliadna.co.uk
